District Attorney, Ashley E. Smith, announced today that the following people were sentenced in Cattaraugus County Court for the months of March and April 2026:

Olean, NY – DANIEL A. PRICE, 41, of Olean, NY pled guilty to Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B Felony). On March 30, 2026, PRICE was sentenced to 7 years in state prison with 3 years post-release supervision and ordered to pay restitution. 

Franklinville, NY – CODY A. BROOKS, 33, of Franklinville, NY pled guilty to Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer in the Second Degree (Class E Felony) and violated his terms of probation. On March 30, 2026, BROOKS was sentenced to 364 days in jail for the felony conviction and 6 months in jail for the violation of probation.  His jail sentences were ordered to be served consecutively. 

Hinsdale, NY – RUSSELL S. BRANT JR., 49, of Wellsville, NY pled guilty to Felony DWI (Class E Felony). On April 20, 2026, BRANT JR. was sentenced to four months in jail, one year of ignition interlock, and one year driving privileges revoked. 

Olean, NY – CURTIS J. BONNER, 49, of Olean, NY pled guilty to Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (Class D Felony). On April 27, 2026, BONNER was sentenced to 4 years in state prison and 2 years post release supervision and ordered to complete Comprehensive Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment (CASAT).
