District Attorney, Ashley E. Smith, announced today that the following people were indicted by the Cattaraugus County Grand Jury for the month of March 2026:

City of Salamanca, New York – Corey A. Parkhurst was indicted on February 26, 2026, for Assault in the Second Degree (Class D Felony), Assault in the Third Degree (Class A Misdemeanor), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class A Misdemeanor). The indictment states that on or about October 6, 2025, Parkhurst recklessly caused serious injury to a person less than eleven (11) years old, recklessly caused physical injury to said person, and knowingly acted in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a child less than seventeen (17) years old. 

City of Olean, New York – Jahaad Richardson was indicted on March 12, 2026, for the crime of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree (Class A-I Felony). The indictment states that on or about October 12, 2025, Richardson knowingly and unlawfully possessed one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures or substances containing a narcotic drug and said preparations, compounds and mixtures or substances are an aggregated weight of eight ounces or more. 

City of Salamanca, New York – Amos T. Vogle was indicted on March 12, 2026, for the crime of Driving While Intoxicated (Class D Felony), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree (Class E Felony), Operating Vehicle without Interlock Device (Class A Misdemeanor), and a violation of Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). The indictment states that on or about October 12, 2025, Amos operated a motor vehicle while he was in an intoxicated condition, operated a motor vehicle when he knew or had reason to know that his license or privilege of operating a motor vehicle in the State of New York was suspended or revoked as a result of an alcohol related offense, and he was operating the vehicle while under the influence of an alcohol related offense, while subject to a court ordered ignition interlock, operated a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock device, and impersonated another and does an act in such assumed character with intent to obtain a benefit or to injure or defraud another. 

Town of Hinsdale, New York – Robert J. Stocking was indicted on March 26, 2026 for the crimes of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class C Felony), Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Class E Felony), and Menacing in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). The indictment states that on or about November 25, 2025, Stocking possessed a loaded firearm with intent to use the same unlawfully against another, knowingly possessed a firearm, and intentionally placed or attempted to place another person in reasonable fear of physical injury, serious physical injury or death by displaying a deadly weapon, dangerous instrument. 

Town of Hinsdale, New York – Fred A. Smith Jr. was indited on March 26, 2026, for the crime of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (Class C Felony). The indictment states that on or about November 9, 2025, Smith Jr. knowingly and unlawfully possessed one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures or substances containing a narcotic drug and said preparations, compounds, mixtures or substances are of an aggregated weight of one-eighth ounce or more.
