HIICAP offers one-on-one counseling to help individuals understand and navigate insurance options. This includes guidance on Medicare Parts A, B, and D: EPIC (elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage); Medicare Savings Programs, Extra Help; Medigap Policies; and Medicare Advantage Plans.
Trained insurance counselors can assist seniors with:
- Filing a claim
- Understanding health insurance policies
- Choosing the right policy for their particular needs
- Understanding hospital or doctor bills
- Making appeals to Medicare
- Providing health insurance information
- Long term care insurance information
