The next Planning Board Meeting will be held on January 29, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Cattaraugus County Center Building in Little Valley, NY
The planning division serves as staff to the 13-member County Planning Board, which must act upon referrals from local municipalities sent to the county under Section 239 I of New York State General Municipal Law. The staff makes recommendations to the County Planning Board regarding these referrals.
The Cattaraugus County Legislature will meet in adjourned session at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, for the purpose of organizing the Legislature and electing a Chairman and for such business as may properly come before the meeting in the Legislative Chambers, 303 Court Street, Little Valley, New York.

Landowners seeking inclusion into a certified agricultural district must submit a "Landowner Request for Inclusion" form to the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism by the January 31st deadline.
County offices and facilities will be closed in observance of New Year's Day.

Notice of Annual 30-Day Period To Request Inclusion of Agricultural Land Within an Existing Agricultural District in Cattaraugus County
Agriculture and Markets Law Section 303-b was enacted in 2003 to provide for the designation of an annual 30-day period during which landowners may submit requests for the inclusion of predominately viable agricultural land into an existing certified agricultural district. Cattaraugus County has designated January 1 through January 31, 2026 as this 30-day period.
County offices and facilities will be closed in observance of Christmas Day.
