Cattaraugus County Health Department is sad to report the deaths of two residents of Cattaraugus County due to COVID-19-related complications.

The sixty-seventh-recorded death was an 84-year-old male who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome his illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

The sixty-eighth-recorded death was a 73-year-old female who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

The sixty-fifth recorded death was a 66 year old male who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome his illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

The sixty-sixth recorded death was a 54 year old male who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome his illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism (EDPT) will continue accepting applications for the 2021 Cattaraugus County Group B Tourism Promotion Grant Program, through March 31, 2021 in an effort to further help local businesses and event organizers. EDPT feels this extension is necessary to allow for local decision makers to analyze the status of COVID-19 and make more definitive plans for their events and their advertising dollars.
