Many areas of eastern Cattaraugus County sustained significant damage from heavy rainfall on Friday, June 6, 2025. The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services is compiling damage information from affected businesses and homeowners. At this time, information collected will be used to document and track damage only. It is not for reimbursement. If your property has sustained damage related to the flooding, here is what to do:

The planning division serves as staff to the 13-member County Planning Board, which must act upon referrals from local municipalities sent to the county under Section 239 I of New York State General Municipal Law. The staff makes recommendations to the County Planning Board regarding these referrals.
The Cattaraugus County Legislature will meet in adjourned session at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, for such business as may properly come before the meeting, in the Legislative Chambers, 303 Court Street, Little Valley, New York.
