Cattaraugus County Health Department is sad to report the third death of a resident of Cattaraugus County due to COVID-19 related complications. She was a 91 year old female who developed sudden respiratory failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family and the entire Cattaraugus County community.

Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of two additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now nineteen as there are now forty-one residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of its sixtieth confirmed case of COVID-19. The reporting laboratory was Boston Heart Diagnostics, Framingham, MA. The department's active positive COVID-19 caseload is now eighteen, as there are now forty residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

I, Howard V. VanRensselaer, Chairman, Cattaraugus County Legislature, in accordance with a declaration of a State of Emergency issued on March 15, 2020, and thereby extended on April 14, 2020, and further extended on May 14, 2020, and pursuant to Section 25 of the State Executive Law, hereby issue the following directive:
The Legislature of Cattaraugus County will meet in adjourned session at the County Center, 303 Court Street, Little Valley, New York, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, for the transaction of such business as may properly come before the meeting.
